Omega-3 fatty acids for chronic and acute inflammation

Chronic inflammation is a major burden on the organism and manifests itself very diverse. No matter which area of the body is affected by inflammation, the immune system is consistently required and in the worst case, it can lead to an autoimmune disease to cancer.

 

The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA play an important role in the prevention and healing of inflammation. The formation of pro-inflammatory substances is reduced by Omega 3 and this anti-inflammatory effect reduces pain and promotes joint mobility. In Crohn's disease, for example, omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the relapse rate. In multiple sclerosis, the symptoms of the disease can be alleviated. Omega 3 fatty acids reduce skin inflammation, redness and dandruff in psoriasis. Omega 3 fatty acids are generally effective against dry skin, eczema and dry, brittle hair.
